Shoot the aliens or other objects before they reach Earth.
- Shoot the Aliens
- Use the on screen buttons or the left and right arrows on your keyboard.
- Repeatedly hoot the same color bullet at the alien as the alien is. The alien will get smaller until it dies
- If you shoot the opposing color the alien will grow larger and stronger.
- Bomb the Aliens
- As you kill aliens you score points and earn bombs.
- If the aliens get to close to your tank you can use the bomb button above the right black button to bomb all of the alien crafts on the screen.
- Kill the Ship
- After killing the individual aliens the ship will descend.
- The ship requires far more hits than the other aliens do.
- The ship may change color in the middle of its path, so you will need to as well if it does so.
- Staying Alive
- If an alien or ship reaches Earth the game is over.
- Game Progress
- This is a never-ending game.
- If you die you start at the beginning of the game.
- Your progress is stored in your local web browser.
- Your most recent game score and your high score are shown on the game’s welcome screen.
- You can turn game sounds on or off on the game’s welcome screen.

Your goal is to stop a horde of marauding black and white aliens from invading. Your tank has two types of ammo geared toward invaders of a specific color. Shoot an alien with the opposite color and they get stronger. You must ensure that you shoot the aliens with the ammo of the right color. The alien bosses are even tougher; they change color mid-fight.
To succeed in clearing these levels, you must be observant and quick on the trigger. You should change your bullets fast to avoid getting mobbed by waves of aliens. The fast pace and complexity of this game will keep you on your toes with each round.
Alien Tank Defender puts a twist on the usual shooting game. Here, you can only destroy alien enemies if you shoot them with ammo of the same color. You’ll encounter various aliens and ships in black and white. They move in different directions, so be mindful of your aim. Tap the black circle to shoot black ammo, or tap the white circle to fire white ammo. If you shoot the wrong color, the alien will grow and get stronger. Move your ship left or right using the arrow keys.
To add to the challenge, you must defeat alien bosses. These enemies change color mid-game, so make sure to anticipate this. Time and aim your shots appropriately.
